INTIMATE SERVICES POLICY
To further maintain the safety and security of everyone we have a Zero-Tolerance Policy incorporated by reference herein in its entirety. Signing of both policies is required by every client.
Professionalism is always required in our salon. As a Sugar Cookie customer, we ask you to refrain from behavior that interferes with the rights of others and the duties of our estheticians.
Sugar Cookie Wax is inclusive, body positive company and respects all our clients. Your safety and care and the safety of our estheticians is of utmost importance to us. We hope this policy creates a clear understanding of expectations to alleviate the sometimes-awkward situations and anxiety of intimate hair removal services.
Our estheticians are used to providing services for all types of bodies in all stages of life. We value and celebrate the individuality of each client. We want you to feel comfortable throughout the entire process, have the best experience, and know you are safe in our care. If you are concerned, about anything, please let us know when you are scheduling. We can address any questions you have ahead of time, so you feel comfortable from the moment you step inside our suite.
The human body responds to touch. Sometimes those responses which are involuntary physiological reactions are unsuitable for the moment. It is nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed by. It is a natural human bodily function. We are professionals , we know and understand all types of bodily reactions can happen during the treatment for a variety of reasons. It will not be an issue for your esthetician. We ask that you remain respectful and handle your bodily responses in a professionally appropriate manner. That means if an erection, or other bodily response such as a bodily fluid leak, etc. occurs, please do your best to control it. You can take a break, if necessary, just keep it professional and let your esthetician know.
Please know we will always strive to maintain your dignity and privacy during every session; but if for any reason you are concerned of how your body might respond during your service, there are a few things you can do to help mitigate some risk.
-
You may be able to reduce sensitivity by applying a numbing cream, gel or spray 45 minutes prior to service. Please note that at times, numbing cream can affect the way the wax or sugar adheres and may affect your results. Let your esthetician know if you have applied numbing products.
-
Avoid heavy meals or excessive fluids before the session: This can help reduce the likelihood of needing to use the restroom or experiencing digestive discomfort.
-
Use the restroom before the treatment begins: Ensure your bladder is empty to minimize the need during the session and wear absorbent underwear or pads if you feel uncomfortable.
-
If on the table, talk to your esthetician about adjusting your position
-
Relax and breathe deeply: Focusing on your breath and relaxing your muscles can help reduce anxiety and tension, potentially lessening the likelihood of certain bodily functions.
-
You can request a change to the music and conversation topics to help distract you and minimize your body response.
-
You can request additional draping if it makes you feel more secure.
-
You may always request to pause the session to use the restroom if needed.
