Sugar Cookie Wax is a Brazilian Sugar and Wax studio specializing in sugaring, a more natural and less painful way to remove unwanted body hair. We pride ourselves on creating a relaxed, comfortable, and welcoming experience for our clients. We work with every client to tailor their treatment plan and select products specifically for their individual skin needs. We are body positive, thorough, gentle, and certified in pain management. Our mission is to have each client leave Sugar Cookie Wax with smoother skin leaving them feeling confident and celebrated! We hope these Salon polices and conditions of service help clarify and reduce any anxiety for our customers by knowing what to expect.

Service Guarantee: Sugar Cookie Wax takes pride in providing an impeccable hair removal experience and want our clients to feel honored and valued. As such we provide a service guarantee and will touch up any are within 5 days free of charge.

Client Forms: A copy of our client intake forms can be found online. Please complete your forms prior to your appointment to save time during the check in process. For those without access to computers paper forms are provided at the suite. It is advised to arrive 10-15 minutes early for your appointment to complete the intake forms. If you require a medical clearance for treatment, please have your physician complete the "Doctors Release": form and bring it with you to your session. If you are unsure if you require a release, please contact us out ahead of your appointment to discuss with a licensed Esthetician

Credit Card Authorization: All services require a credit card deposit to guarantee a reservation. Sugar Cookie Wax holds the card information. By booking, you authorize Sugar Cookie Wax, to charge your credit card for booking deposits, membership renewals, service completion on date of service, late cancellations, and no-shows according to Salon policies. If you prefer not to authorize this use, you can visit us on a walk-in basis and pay in person.

Walk-In-Appointments: Appointments are strongly recommended. We do offer walk-in appointments; however, we book quickly and may not always be able to fit you into that day’s schedule. We advise you book ahead to ensure you’ll get service when you need it.

Courtesy Reminders: As a courtesy, we send out automated appointment reminders to help you stay on track!

On the day you book your appointment, we will confirm your service
72 hours before our session we will send our pre-treatment instructions,
48 hours before your appointment we will ask you to check in and confirm your appointment and send arrival protocols
The day of your appointment we will send you a list of aftercare instructions.

Late Arrivals: When booking, please understand that the time allocated for your service takes into consideration your expected on-time arrival, the time needed to complete your service, and deep cleaning after. To ensure a full and relaxed experience, please plan to arrive to 10-15 minutes before your scheduled service. Please notify us by text or phone if you are running late. We will do our best to accommodate you, but we may ask you to reschedule or shorten the length of your service if it affects others.

If you are more than 10 minutes late from your scheduled service start, and we need to cancel, we will have to charge a late cancellation fee of 25%. Sessions 20 minutes or less (i.e. Brow service, Lip, etc. ) do not have a grace period and late cancellation will apply if you are not on time.

Rescheduling/Cancellations: We understand things happen. We ask for 24 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule or cancel so we can fill the time. Less than. Less than 24 hours’ notice is considered a late cancellation and results in a charge of 25% of your booked service 8 hours’ notice or results in a 50% charge. and a ”No show” results in a 100% charge. This policy also applies to cancelling or changing additional or add-on services. You will not be able to book again until the fee is paid. No shows will be placed on a pre-pay or walk-in basis only for future appointments until we can depend on consistency.

If your service must be cancelled during your session time due to violation of our salon policies, a 100% service cancellation fee will apply.

Memberships: Memberships can help you develop a consistent waxing routine, which can lead to better results like finer hair growth over time. Members pay a flat monthly fee for select services to receive:

Automatic, built-in in sugar and waxing service discounts
Priority scheduling
Special offers throughout the year available only to members

Memberships are non-transferable, non-refundable, and may not be shared or split. You may discontinue your membership at any time by notifying us in writing. Your remaining balance may be used toward other services within 60 days of the date of cancellation. All other cancellation policies are in effect.

Product Returns and Refunds: Unfortunately, we cannot provide cash refunds for returned products. To compensate an in-studio credit of 50% of the pre-tax retail price will be provided for any unopened products returned within 1 week of purchase to be used on any other product or skincare service available here at the studio. There are no refunds issued for services rendered, series packages, or gift certificates.

Gift Certificates: Gift Certificates are available in any amount and may be purchased at the studio or online. They may be applied toward any purchase or Sugar Cookie Wax service or product. They are not exchangeable for cash and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. Gift Certificates must be mentioned when making your appointment.

Discount Policy: Discounts are limited to one discount, deal or special pricing per guest, per visit, and per transaction. Discounts, deals or specials cannot be combined unless specifically advertised as such. Additionally, discounts cannot be applied to membership packages as these prices already reflect a discount on the original service price.

Referrals and Loyalty Rewards: Savor the Sweetness! We love our Cookies and want to show our appreciation for your continued business.

Baker’s dozen Loyalty Rewards: for every 12 services get a free service worth up to $55.
When you share the Cookie Love and refer a new client, we will give a "refer one, get one treat". The new client gets 20% off any one service and you will get 20% off any one service.
- 20% is calculated off lowest priced service if services are combined.

Guest Policy: You are allowed up to one guest to accompany you to your session to provide optimal services and limit distractions during an appointment. All other guests must remain outside of the salon.

Child Policy: We write this policy with the utmost respect to the parents in our salon. We understand that this can be a sensitive topic. We are parents ourselves. We use sharp objects and hot tools, during our treatments and our estheticians require focus to maintain the health, safety, and success of your treatment. We are also often performing intimate services. For this reason, we ask that you leave your child/children with a trusted caretaker for their safety and to ensure you enjoy a positive experience without distractions.

Please review our Policy for clients under the age of 18.

Sugar or Wax Treatment of Minors: Minors 13+ are permitted to receive treatments at Sugar Cookie Wax with some conditions including but not limited to the consent (Consent)of a Custodial Parental/Legal Guardian (Consenting Adult). Appropriate etiquette/draping will be always observed during treatments

Age Limits for Our Services

Minors 13+ may receive any service excluding all intimate services with Consent and Consenting Adult must be present for all sessions.
Minors 15+ same as 13+ and can receive Basic Bikini.
Minors 16+ the Consenting Adult need only attend 1st session with the exception: Consenting Adult must be present for Basic Bikini
MUST be 18+ for all other intimate services

The Consenting Adult must accompany the Minor for the Initial Client Consult, review and execute all required forms including a Health History Form and participate in a discussion between the Consenting Adult, the Minor, and the Esthetician to discuss the goals and expectations for treatment and services.

Hygiene: Sugar Cookie Wax maintains sanitation of our tool, equipment and suite, and uses personal protection (PPE) for our employees and clients in accordance with applicable rules, laws, and industry best practices. We do everything we can to limit the risk of infection. We ask clients partner with us and do their part.

We ask you arrive to your appointment with clean, dirt/debris-free skin and hair. Before the service, intimate wipes will be administered. If you are menstruating, please use a clean tampon as cups may become dislodged during service. If adequate hygiene is not followed, the esthetician has the authority to refuse service, and a 100% cancellation fee applies.

Health & Safety: We follow all legal laws, rules, regulations, guidelines and industry best practices to ensure the health and safety of your visit.

Extra time has been allotted between appointments to ensure thorough cleansing and sanitation of surfaces, equipment and tools, according local, state and federal health regulations. Your health and safety always come first!
Your esthetician will wash and sanitize their hands and use new disposable latex free gloves during the duration of the service.
Your esthetician may also wear a mask to protect immunocompromised individuals or their own personal health.
Your esthetician will never double dip and uses a new single use spatula for each application
Clients are asked to arrive showered with clean dry skin and clean clothes.
Each client will be asked to use a single use intimate cleansing wipe before service.
Female anatomy clients are asked if menstruating to use a new clean a tampon to receive a Bikini or other Intimate Service. No cups are allowed.
Each client will be asked to sanitize their hands before and after their service.
Clients are asked to reschedule their appointments at any sign of illness or infection.

Your esthetician has the right to refuse service if proper hygiene is not followed and a cancellation fee is applied.

Pets and Service Animals: We love all animals. However, due to the nature of our work and the strict infection control measures we must maintain, we do not allow pets or emotional support animals at this time.

People with disabilities may bring their service animal. We ask if you require a service animal to attend your session, you please notify us in advance so that we may prepare for any accommodations you or your animal may require during your treatment. We want you both to be comfortable.

You are responsible for cleaning up after your animal and paying for any damages the animal may cause to the salon or our equipment or for any harm that may come to our estheticians. All animals must be clean, vaccinated, free of fleas and ticks, or other infestations and well-behaved and always under your control. If any of these requirements cannot be met at the time of service we will have to cancel or stop the session, and a late cancellation policy will be applied.

Retinoids Accutane Policy: Using retinoids (Accutane or similar) can cause skin to rip off during the waxing process. For your own safety, we cannot wax you until you have been off Accutane or similar medications for over a year's time.

Patch Test: To protect the safety of our Cookies, as a new client we may require a patch test to be performed before your first service. A patch test is carried out to determine if an allergic reaction might occur.

During the Patch Test a small amount of the sugar or wax product is applied to the skin. The area must then be monitored for the 48-72 hours for a reaction. A negative patch test does not guarantee an adverse reaction will not occur later.

Body Work: Sugar Cookie Wax is inclusive, and body positive. Our estheticians are professional and experienced with working with all genders and body types. During service we may need to position your body in ways to access treatment areas properly. These positions may seem awkward, but we will guide you through each one to make sure you are as comfortable as possible. If for any reason the position does not work for you, or you have concerns prior to your appointment, please let your esthetician know so we can adjust.

Alcohol and Drugs: Sugar Cookie Wax is a professional skin care service. Alcohol and drugs can affect your judgement when making decisions about your skin health, signing agreements, and ultimately affect the outcome, success, and safety of the services provided. Please do not come to your appointment under the influence. If you are suspected of being under the influence, we will ask you to reschedule under our late cancellation policy.

Smoking: Sugar Cookie Wax and Phenix Salons are non-smoking facilities. This policy also applies to vaping. Please refrain from both while on-site.

Weapons: No weapons of any sort are allowed on property.

Illness and Infections: Sugaring and waxing is process where we are requiring the body to use its healing powers to prevent irritation, inflammation, and infection. We ask for the health and safety of you, our other clients, and our staff, to reschedule if you are starting to feel unwell or experiencing symptoms of illness or infection, such as fever, cough, runny nose, or sore throat, rash, burns, or open wounds. We understand this may be inconvenient, but we prioritize preventing the spread of any potential illness and the safety and comfort of everyone.

Please note our estheticians may wear a mask or shield for their own health and safety, in accordance with industry standards, or as a courtesy to protect our immunocompromised clients who we may see throughout any day.

Privacy Notice: Sugar Cookie Wax, LLC is required by law to keep your personal health information safe. Please review our Privacy Policy Notice on our website and in our salon. It tells you what information we collect, how it is used and how you can request and comment on your information.

Zero Tolerance: Our clients trust us with intimate areas of their bodies. We value that trust. and prioritize the safety and comfort of all our clients and staff. Waxing and Sugaring is a personal care service which may expose the estheticians and clients to personal and sometimes awkward situations. It is our goal to make sure everyone is respected, feels safe and secure, and is relaxed and comfortable. To achieve this goal, we have a zero-tolerance policy for racial, gender, cultural, religious, age, religious or sexual harassment of any kind. Please review our full Zero-Tolerance policy. Violations incur a 100% cancellation fee and may result in further legal action up to and including civil and criminal penalties.

Right to Refuse Service: We reserve the right to refuse service and ban clients from future visits if we feel the safety or wellbeing of anyone in the suite is jeopardized.
